Colorado

I found a shoe in the snow,

deep within the woods.

artwork by hungrybison

There was a footprint nearby,

then another,

then another.

Soon laced with blood,

they continued,

out of the wilderness.

Finally by the liquor store,

they ended.

By an open dumpster,

I found him,

dead,

frozen,

missing one shoe.
