A Man’s Man

Hemingway stuck a rifle in his mouth,
he understood the art of hunting.
I want to wear his sweater,
grow a beard,
become defined,
as a bad ass kitty lover,
a man’s man.

Sip whiskey,
and pay  homage to
the “goddess” who made me a man.

She ushered me into manhood,
but she could not understand me,
she spoke only Spanish.
