Brutish Desire

Drunkenly stumbling,
I seek The Lord’s
gracious permission
to increase the divide
between He and myself

Seemingly devout,
I suffer

Destined to be no more important
than ink on paper

Taken in hand,
my brutish desire
to bow less to the fear of God

Happiness in my haste
to bring on self destruction
