Baptism

I feel like God
but look like a beggar

I didn’t come here for justice,
I came for the water

Water,
like, the waist deep cold
where his soul was set free.
Wrapped in chains,
all bounds
of this earth
were released

As that bastard sank
we became elevated
like birds
